Calibrated Energy Model

A calibrated energy model is a physics-based simulation whose predicted energy use is adjusted to align with historical utility bills. ASHRAE Guideline 14 provides the statistical thresholds — typically NMBE within ±5% and CV-RMSE within 15% for monthly data — used to judge calibration quality.
